Callie and I became first-time home owners January 31st!

More to come in a few weeks when I finally get a catch a break. I’ve been running around crazy pretty much the whole year between keeping up with work, the house and the family. But I’ve never been happier!

Been listening to Turnpike on repeat for weeks. Such “down home” music with powerful imagery yet simply stated. idk man, I like it.

goodbye 2018!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Here are some photos of our “Christmas Break”

Me and my wife and baby on Christmas Eve. I was all grumpy and we had a hard time getting a photo because Rhett didn’t want his picture taken and was not cooperating. Ah, the holidays…
We found a walking stick at the park!
Bo Bo mustache you a question…

Me and Callie and Rhett made our first gingerbread house ever and of course we *nailed it*

I saw this butterfly as I was walking around in some tall, tall grass near the NAS in Flour Bluff, trying to figure out how the hell you are supposed to get down to the shore of Oso Bay… I’m still not really sure. This was near Turtle Cove Park.
Ok, well, me and Bo Bo did find one way to get to the shore of Oso Bay. Me and this kid *walked* all the way down the “Holly Hike and Bike” trail at the end of Holly/north side of Oso Wetland Preserve. It was kind of by accident. I thought the water was fairly close to the road/parking area – we could just hop out and look at the water for a minute. It was not. So, I ended up carrying my heavy ol’ two-year-old for at least half of the nearly mile walk down to what is known as “Mud Bridge”; this is where a train track that used to follow Holly went across the Oso Bay and into Flour Bluff. I’m not sure if Holly used to go all the way across also or not. It was pretty cool though. We threw rocks in the water and took pictures before making the long walk back to the Jeep. Next time we will bring something with wheels.
Christmas Eve! Rhett got to open one present. I love this second picture – I can almost hear Callie saying “Look! This is soooo cool Rhett! A Dino book with stickers and for coloring! Yep, sooo cool.”

Christmas Morning! Dinos, of course.

Also, Dinos for the bath. Thanks Mamaw and Papaw!

And then Rhett turned into a Dino. He decided that it would be funny to chase me saying “Bite Da Da!” and then proceeded to bite the crap out of me. He’s something else. His Mimi got him this awesome pullover.

Have y’all ever seen a grape this big?
