About this site:
I created this site in early March 2010 as a means of teaching myself basic (and not-so-basic) web design, and to serve as a private Internet fileserver for friends and myself. It's run on a few different computers I've built from salvaged parts. Currently it's hosted on a desktop server with the following specs:
- CPU: Pentium 4 (631) 3.0GHz
- RAM: 2GB GSkill DDR2 533
- Mobo: Cheap Intel board I salvaged from an eMachine. Replaced some capacitors, runs good as new.
The OS is Slackware Linux v13.0. Here's a screenshot:
It's just a hobby site - it serves primarily as my blog and an Internet fileserver for myself and my friends. I learn as I go. I would like to learn Flash and PHP eventually, and design more sophisticated site templates to earn extra income.
But I've got to start somehwere. ;)
